Academy Press Plc will hold its 62nd Annual General Meeting (AGM) today, September 24, 2026, where shareholders will consider a proposed 10 kobo dividend per share.
The meeting will be held at the company’s registered office at 28/32 Industrial Avenue, Ilupeju Industrial Estate, Lagos, at 12 noon.
10 kobo dividend proposed
One of the main items on the agenda is the declaration of a dividend following the company's financial year ended March 31, 2026.
The Board has recommended a 10 kobo dividend. If shareholders approve the proposal, the dividend will be paid on Friday, September 25, 2026, to shareholders whose names were on the company's register at the close of business on September 16, 2026.
Board and auditor decisions
Shareholders will also consider the company's 2026 financial statements and reports from the Directors, Auditors and Audit Committee.
The meeting will seek the re-election of Mr. Wahab B. Dabiri as a Director and ratification of the appointment of Mrs. Bola Jinadu as a Non-Executive Director.
Shareholders will also be asked to ratify the appointment of BDO Professional Services as the company's external auditors and authorize the Directors to determine the auditors' remuneration.
Other resolutions include the election of members of the Statutory Audit Committee and disclosure of managers' remuneration.
Non-Executive Directors' pay
As special business, shareholders will vote on the proposed remuneration of the company's Non-Executive Directors.
The company will also record and broadcast the AGM online for shareholders and other stakeholders who cannot attend physically.
