What NaijaTicker collects when you use the site, and the choices you have.
Overview
NaijaTicker ("we," "us," "our," or "the Site") publishes NGX-listed stock prices, market news, a corporate calendar, and the Nigeria Fear & Greed Index for informational purposes. This Privacy Policy describes how we handle information collected from visitors, including through cookies placed by us and by third-party advertising and analytics providers such as Google.

Information we collect
NaijaTicker does not require account registration to browse, so we do not directly collect names, addresses, or payment details. The following is still collected automatically:
- Usage data— pages visited (e.g. Stocks, News, Calendar, Fear & Greed), time spent, referring URL, device and browser type, and approximate location derived from IP address.
- Cookies and similar technologies — described below.
- Voluntarily submitted information — if you email us, we receive whatever you include (e.g., your email address and message content).
Cookies & advertising
We use cookies, and permit third-party vendors to use cookies, to:
- Remember display preferences (e.g., gainers/losers tab selection, previously viewed calendar dates).
- Measure aggregate traffic and engagement across the Site.
- Serve and measure advertising, including personalized ads based on prior visits to this and other sites.
Google AdSense
NaijaTicker displays advertisements served through Google AdSense. As required by Google's publisher terms, we disclose the following:
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this website or other websites.
- Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to visitors based on their visits to this site and/or other sites on the internet.

- Cookies can also be disabled through your browser settings, though this may affect site functionality.
Google Analytics
NaijaTicker uses Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the Site in aggregate — pages viewed, session duration, and general geographic region. This data is used to improve content and site performance and is not used to individually identify you. Google Analytics sets its own cookies as part of this measurement.
Third-party links
The News section links to articles hosted on external Nigerian and international publications, and market data displayed on Stocks, Calendar, and Fear & Greed pages is sourced from third-party providers. We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of external sites.
Nigeria Data Protection Act
As a service primarily serving users in Nigeria, we process personal data in line with the Nigeria Data Protection Act (NDPA) 2023. We collect the minimum data necessary for the purposes described in this policy and do not sell personal data to third parties. Visitors from the EU/EEA or California may also have rights under the GDPR or CCPA/CPRA respectively — see the section below.
Your choices & rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict the use of your personal information, and to opt out of the use of your data for advertising purposes. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details at the bottom of this page.
Children's privacy
NaijaTicker is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can remove it.
Data security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information from unauthorized access, alteration, or loss. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The effective date above reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the Site after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
