Malolan Sampath officially assumes office today, September 1, 2026, as the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Champion Breweries Plc, following the company’s June 22 announcement of the leadership transition.
Sampath succeeds Dr. Inalegwu Adoga, whose resignation as MD/CEO paved the way for the transition. Until Sampath’s assumption of office, Rasheed Ademola Adebiyi, Executive Director of Finance, served as Acting Managing Director to ensure continuity.
The new MD/CEO brings over 26 years of international leadership experience across the beverage, FMCG, manufacturing and agro-industrial sectors, including previous leadership roles in Angola, Nigeria and Zambia.
Champion Breweries said Sampath’s experience in manufacturing, commercial execution and business transformation is expected to support the company’s strategic objectives and long-term growth.
