Cutix Plc has disclosed the resignation of its external auditors, Ngozi Monica Okonkwo & Co, following a strategic review of the audit firm’s portfolio.
The company said it received the auditors’ formal resignation notice dated July 24, 2026, with the resignation taking effect from Cutix’s 43rd Annual General Meeting (AGM) held on August 28, 2026.
According to the disclosure, the audit firm decided to discontinue its appointment after completing the audit for the financial year ended April 30, 2026. The firm cited a strategic review of its audit portfolio as the reason for the decision.
The resignation does not appear to be linked to any specific financial or governance issue at Cutix, based on the company’s disclosure. The stated reason is the auditor’s decision to streamline its audit portfolio.
However, investors will be watching the appointment of a replacement auditor, particularly because the new appointment will require the necessary regulatory and shareholder approvals.
Cutix said its Board has already commenced the process of selecting a new external auditor and will make a further disclosure once the appointment and applicable approvals are completed.
For investors, the key issue is therefore the transition to a new auditor and whether the change has any impact on the timing or credibility of future financial reporting.
The development comes shortly after the company’s 43rd AGM and follows the completion of the audit for its latest financial year, meaning the immediate reporting cycle is not expected to be affected by the resignation.
