Royal Exchange Plc has appointed Dr. Geoffrey C. Ohen as a Non-Executive Director, strengthening its board with an executive with experience across insurance, financial services and other sectors.
The appointment took effect on July 23, 2026, according to a notification issued by the company.
Ohen currently serves as Managing Director and CEO of the Geoff Ohen Group and holds several board leadership positions. He is Chairman of Consolidated Resources Ltd, Ekocorp Plc, Owa Oil & Gas Ltd and Networth Group, which includes Networth Securities & Finance Ltd and Networth Portfolio & Asset Management Ltd.
He has also previously served as Chairman of Piccadilly Insurance Ltd and New Patriot Building Society Ltd, as well as a Director of Daily Times of Nigeria Plc.
For shareholders, the appointment adds a director with experience spanning insurance, investment management, financial services and corporate leadership to Royal Exchange's board.
Royal Exchange said Ohen's skills and experience are expected to support the company's strategic leadership, growth and expansion initiatives.
However, the appointment itself does not provide details of any new strategy, financial targets or capital plans. Investors will therefore need to watch subsequent corporate disclosures and financial results for evidence of how his board role translates into operational or financial improvements.
The company said Ohen successfully completed the necessary processes before his appointment.
